Do you think that if the Jaguars changed their name from the Jacksonville Jaguars to the Florida Jaguars it would help create a bigger fan base in the state? The Angels did this in baseball, they attached themselves to Los Angeles; i'm not sure what kind of difference it made though.

How about the Jacksonville-Orlando-Pensacola Jaguars so that those cities really feel a connection to the team. (Well, not Jacksonville, of course.) Like the Montreal-San Juan Expos. Or the New Orleans-Oklahoma City Hornets. Actually, if the team were really smart it would try to carve out a new market. I'm envisioning the Jacksonville-Orlando-Birmingham Jaguars. |

Speaking of name changes when did FCCJ change its name to Florida State College?
That about ranks up there with Miami (OH) in deceptively named colleges - "wow mom, i got into miami!!!" get there in august and you're like "######, where's the ladies at" of course visualizing that above exchange requires you to think out side the box a little and abandon logic, but w/e |
