So im at a bank trying to cash a check, and the bank teller starts up some convo about how Tebow will save the jaguars. And the hole time, when i asked him what does tebow bring to the game that the jaguars dont already have. yes i can understand the intangibles such as leadership etc. but as a football player, what does he bring that will take the jags to the next level??? he couldnt tell me. so let me drop a quick top 5 for all u fans. this is my top 5 things you should know before you assume Tim Tebow will the tebow jesus in teal town.

5. He cant throw. PERIOD.
4. He cant read any coverage other than probably cover 2 or man cov. PERIOD (the only cov. in college lol)
3. the QB wildcat WILL NOT WORK IN THIS LEAGUE. PERIOD
2. He doesnt know how to take a snap from center, nor is he even comfortable enough to.
1. HE CANT THROW. and thats really something you either have or not, never seen a qb who couldnt ever throw, just all of a sudden beable to throw just because hes now in the NFL.

now if u want to say, tebow will save the Jags TICKET sales... sure, he may beable to help them alot, until people realize this aint gator country no more lol. by the way.... GO BUY SEASON TICKETS!!!!!!!!! Ill be Damned if i have to come out for pregame warmups to a COMPLETELY EMPTY STADIUM ANYMORE!!!!!!!

While I don't think Tebow is the answer for the Jaguars, would you be supportive of him if he was your teammate, drafted in the 6th round?

if we draft tebow, of course he has our full support, hes a jag so us jags stick together. if we draft tebow he will be family just like everyone else. No doubt about it.

Who goes early to watch the warm-ups?

I'll keep tailgating and arrive just in time for the anthem and flyover.

I have no desire to see guys stretch on the field.

Love and agree with your take Uche, however, Tebow threads belong in our College Forum.

I'm moving this there now.

@Catattack

Fair enough, but think of it like this, before we played seattle, during pregame warmup-35,000 in the stadium.

Sanfran pregame- problly around 15-20k

@ Tenn- around 20k

NYjets- DAM NEAR FULL

Jax Municipal- Maybe 1k- Pathetic

Now when we talk about pride in your team, thats how pride is displayed, fans out there talkin **** the whole pregame. it makes it extra fun!

I was at that Seahawks game. Their fans are insane. That's all I have to say on that.

As for the Seahawks, they poured it on the Jaguars. But they got theirs soon after. The Seahawks found themselves blown out of the next several games. Carma sometimes has a way of biting back.

Why does the Seattle game ever have to be brought up. That just brings back horrible memories for me.

Uche, does a lot of the locker room feel the same way? Again, I don't like tebow as a QB but a gauge of the temperature of the issue would be interesting.

Who would you take at 10/11 if you were Gene Smith?

Uche, you definitely get "it"

However, I don't think it's fair to say Tebow can't throw, though. He can get the ball there, but the questions are, can he get it there accurately, and can it leave his hands fast enough to get that chance.

A familiar player comes to mind by the name of Byron Leftwich.

But hey, I thought Leftwich could be really good if he were behind a line like Indy, so what do I know?

The Jaguars do need a QB to save this franchise, but it sure isn't Tebow. This kid needs to learn how to play H-Back, because he's no QB. If Wayne Weaver forces the front office to select him, he should stick to selling shoes. Give me a QB who has a good arm, who is able to read coverage, who gets rid of the ball on time and who makes good decisions. We don't have to find the next Peyton Manning, a player like that only comes around every 25-30 years. I would settle for a Matt Schaub, Aaron Rodgers or Phillip Rivers type QB. We just need to be smarter about who we draft in the early rounds.

Do you play pro ball? I'll take the word of a pro ball player over your any day when it comes to football.Plus what i think he ment by he can't throw period is he can't hit wide open recievers in the pro system as seen during the senior bowl.

I believe that Uche was referring to throwing at an NFL caliber. He does not throw at an NFL caliber. PERIOD.

If we didnt have people on this message board to disagree with, we would have nothing to talk about.

I dont give a crap what he plays, im a talent evaluater, and if im goin to break down a player im not gonna say he cant throw PERIOD, like he is some punter or something.

Give me a break if this guy is even who he says he is. What if somebody said he cant block PERIOD? You dont know how many times I seen people say how bad Uche sucks on this board. I never said he sucks I think he is a solid young OG who is getting better. How would he feel if somebody said he couldnt block and he's been blocking his whole life.

Never said anything about promoting or not promoting tebow, im just giving you my opinion. also i dont think it takes a scientist to see that throwing well in COLLEGE FOOTBALL, doesnt always mean that you will be any good in the NFL. site ryan leaf, achilis smith, etc etc etc etc. To me personally, i just see tebow as another eric crouch( who had some throwing talent and even that wasnt enough lol). amazing leader, amazing energy, but all those things that he did well in college didnt garuntee he would beable to use those talents to have a career in the NFL. its not hard to run qb dives, against 285-300lb Dlinemen. try it against 330-360 Dlinemen and lets see how long he can play football.

Excellent point, Mizzal. However, Uche might just be exaggerating or biased against the Gators because he is a Boilermaker. Now I will not judge him or guess what he really is thinking, but I completely agree Tim Tebow can throw - just not as good as others waiting to be drafted.

Uche, are you trying to convince Wayne Weaver Tebow is not the solution to our quarterback problems?

now dont get me wrong, Tebpw will be drafted, and he will likely be used in certain situations. I could even say that if he moves to TE, he could be a VERY GOOD player. this is assuming he can catch, they will teach him to block.
